SCRS To Transition Global Summit to Virtual Format
Hanover, MD, July 1, 2020 –The Society for Clinical Research Sites (SCRS) has announced that its Global Site Solutions Summit, originally scheduled to be held October 9-11, 2020, will be transitioned to a virtual experience. The change in the program format comes in an effort to prioritize the health and safety of summit attendees and the SCRS community.
“After thoughtful discussion with SCRS leadership and our partners in the clinical research industry, SCRS has decided to transition to a virtual event experience,” said SCRS Chief Operating Officer Allyson Small. “This will allow SCRS’ site, sponsor, CRO, and solution provider community to connect, engage, and provide guidance throughout the evolving COVID-19 pandemic while ensuring the safety of our stakeholders.”
The annual Global Site Solutions Summit highlights best practices from peers and industry partners, while providing a focus on site success within the clinical research ecosystem. “Announcing our changes now allows our teams and partners time to provide input on what critical topics are emerging that our program can address, and enables us to ensure that the transition to a virtual setting is seamless,” added Small. “The Virtual Summit will deliver the same diverse content, networking opportunities, and sense of community unique to the Global Site Solutions Summit. Our program includes workshops, networking and breakout sessions, and the introduction of Sites NOW month. Sites NOW will foster connection and innovation in the SCRS community into 2021 by serving site needs and promulgating ideas now.”
