Pierre Site Impact Award recognizes an industry leader who has made an extraordinary contribution to furthering the voice of the clinical research site community. Dr. William B. Smith, CEO and Principal Investigator of AMR (Alliance for Multispecialty Research), has conducted over 2,000 clinical trials across phases I-IV in his 40+ year career. He has been actively involved in SCRS since its inception, serving on the Leadership Council, Global Site Solutions Summit planning committee, and Workforce Task Force. Located in South Dakota, ARI has implemented innovative strategies to increase participation from historically underrepresented groups, particularly rural communities and American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) populations.
