FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SCRS Announces Sites NOW Program
Hanover, MD August 5, 2020 – The Society for Clinical Research Sites (SCRS) announced the Sites NOW program, a collaboration between sites, sponsors, CROs and solution providers with a focus on evolving best practices for site success. This project will include both the Virtual Site Solutions Summit and a 12-month virtual program working to evolve best practices and SOPs. The work and ideas from Sites NOW will inform content in SCRS publications, help build an industry playbook, and deliver sessions to Site Solutions Summit attendees across the globe in 2021.
“Clinical research has begun the important process of evolving in every facet of the enterprise. Hybrid studies involving sites and virtual visits, focused technologies, workforce development, and study pipeline access will continue to improve operations. Sites are not only on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic, but also represent the important intersection of patient and care,” said Sean Soth, Vice President of Global Business Partnerships. Soth added, “The SCRS community needs and wants to connect to discuss the realties, opportunities and current limitations for consideration so our industry can move forward together.”
Sites NOW will provide a regular touchstone to begin and continue this important dialogue. “Pfizer is proud to partner with SCRS in support of the Sites NOW initiative,” said Liz Rogers, Head of Global Study and Site Operations, Pfizer. “It is critical to continue bringing sites together with other members of the clinical research community to share learnings and best practices. We are excited to join in the innovative approach SCRS is piloting to accomplish this important mission.”
SCRS shares a mission dedicated to site sustainability, Sites NOW will continue to bring together stakeholders to share the ideas needed for industry advancement. Regular SCRS Contributor and Total Clinical Trial Management Chief Executive Officer, Diana Foster added, “as expected, SCRS is on point and on pace with the complex needs of the site community. Supporting Sites NOW was a quick and important decision for our organization”.
While SCRS cannot meet in person, innovative programming and opportunities to connect members and partners remain a priority. Look for more information to come on Sites NOW and the new Virtual Global Site Solutions Summit. For more information, visit www.myscrcs.org
