    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Society for Clinical Research Celebrates the Medical Heroes with 5K Fun Run and Walk

Ellicott City, M.D., October 22, 2015 – The Society for Clinical Research Sites (SCRS), the global trade organization fully dedicated to representing the interests of clinical research sites, held the second annual 5K Fun Run/3K Walk to celebrate study patients on Sunday, October 11, 2015 in Amelia Island, Florida at the Site Solutions Summit. DAC Patient Recruitment Services sponsored the 5K and raised over $3,200 for The Center for Information & Study on Clinical Research Participation (CISCRP) to continue to promote awareness for their Medical Heroes Program. SCRS matched the proceeds with their own donation at the Summit.

Christine Pierre, President of SCRS shares “we are proud to celebrate the real heroes, the study patients and their important contribution to medicine and are deeply thankful for the generous support of our participants. Together, we will continue to make a difference to the clinical trials community while engaging in a fun and healthy activity.”

“Anytime we, as a company, are able to acknowledge the true heroes within clinical research, we endeavor to do so. Through our sponsoring of the 5K run at this year’s Summit, we’re able to acknowledge the value of patients by supporting a worthwhile organization” shared Steve Swanson, President of the Imperial Family of Companies and CEO of DAC.
