Society for Clinical Research Sites Ensures All Sites Can Benefit from Membership
Developing Countries and Emerging Sites Are Offered a Special Membership Category
Rockville, MD, July 30, 2013: The Society for Clinical Research Sites (SCRS) is committed in ensuring all sites can be part of the only global trade organization that provides clinical research sites a voice and a community. In nine months since its announcement, SCRS has grown its global membership to represent over 1,300 sites in 20 countries. However, it was realized early on that as a global organization consideration would need to be given to sites in developing countries and sites identified as “emerging sites,” defined as sites with annual revenues of less than 250K. Annual dues for sites in developing countries and emerging sites will be $300 USD and $500 USD respectfully.
Christophe Berthoux, CEO of SYNEXUS and a member of SCRS’ Leadership Council and Global Committee Chair was pleased the Leadership Council supported this decision to ensure all sites are able to join SCRS. “SCRS has from its inception defined itself as a global organization that will provide sites a voice and support to ensure their ongoing success. This commitment demonstrated SCRS’ unwavering commitment to its mission and members.”
SCRS President, Christine Pierre states that “As a global organization representing sites, the ability to offer this price differential was critical. We want to ensure all sites can join SCRS and receive the many benefits membership has to offer to the staff at their sites; from 24 webinars annually, to ongoing discussion among the listserv, to being included in the SCRS database for industry to access when seeking sites, just to name a few. This decision continues to underscore SCRS’ commitment to mentoring the site community and truly being as inclusive organization for all sites regardless of their location or revenue.”
