FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Ellicott City, MD, April 23, 2018 – The Society for Clinical Research Sites has announced its new oncology program, which aims to increase efficiencies and improve site sustainability among clinical research sites participating in oncology studies. Additionally, the program endeavors to reinforce existing and establish new oncology clinical research sites through the identification, adoption and dissemination of best site practices.
The program has received support from its strategic partners representing sites, sponsors, CROs and professional service providers.
“I look forward to working with SCRS to co-chair the SCRS Oncology Board and collaborating with leads from industry sponsor companies, CROs, sites, and service providers in clinical research,” said Archana Sah, therapeutic area leader, oncology at Genentech, a Member of the Roche Group, and SCRS oncology board co-chair.
“This work in oncology is deeply needed, and SCRS is honored to be able to build such an important initiative with leaders in the field,” said SCRS president Christine Pierre. “We are confident that this program will succeed in increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of oncology clinical research sites.”
The inaugural Oncology Site Solutions Summit will be held February 2-3, 2019 at Hilton Austin in Austin, Texas.
