SCRS Announces Site Patient Recruitment Innovation Award (SPRIA)
Ellicott City, MD – June 25, 2014: The Society for Clinical Research Sites (SCRS) is pleased to announce the launch of the inaugural Site Patient Recruitment Innovation Award (SPRIA), to recognize and honor highly effective patient enrollment strategies at clinical research sites.
“Optimizing patient enrollment is something the sites and industry both view as critical,” says Christine Pierre, President, SCRS. “In creating the SPRIA, SCRS seeks to recognize top performing enrollment initiatives. Doing so elevates the importance of effective patient enrollment and honors the patient perspective in producing timely, high-quality research that will advance medicine.”
Sites worldwide have been invited to submit their top performing recruitment plans (executed within the last two years) where optimal success was achieved. The SPRIA is open to any academic, hospital-based, practice/clinic or free standing sites, involving research performed in any therapeutic area of study. Emphasis is placed on innovative, effective programs that stress the perspective of the patient in participation. Key elements include achieving or exceeding patient enrollment, study timeline and budget goals.
Nominations for the 2014 SPRIA are being accepted through September 3, 2014. Entries will be evaluated by an esteemed panel comprised of five senior leaders representing prominent organizations in industry. The top five finalists will be invited to present their blueprints for success to more than 600 attendees during the 9th annual SCRS Site Solutions Summit, October 10-12, 2014 in Amelia Island, FL. The inaugural SPRIA winning organization will be announced at the conclusion of the 2014 Summit.
