FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SCRS Announces Partnership with ACRP, Extending GCP Training to Member Sites

Ellicott City, MD, July 23, 2019 – The Society for Clinical Research Sites (SCRS) announced today that it is partnering with the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) to extend complimentary Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and ethics training to its member community.

Through this partnership, SCRS member sites will receive more user-friendly access to two of ACRPs industry-leading online training programs at no cost:

  • Introduction to Good Clinical Practice
  • Ethics and Human Subject Protection: A Comprehensive Introduction

SCRS’ GCP training is recognized by TransCelerate BioPharma, which ensures that SCRS members who take advantage of the GCP training member benefit will no longer be subject to the misuse of time and expenses, and duplication of effort when working with TransCelerate member companies.

“With today’s announcement, we are advancing our mission to promote excellence in clinical research and helping realize our vision that clinical research is performed ethically, responsibly, and professionally everywhere in the world,” says Jim Kremidas, ACRP Executive Director. “We are thrilled to be able to meet the needs of SCRS member organizations and staff for continual GCP and ethics training, and we look forward to continue working together to support investigator sites.”

“SCRS is excited about this new collaboration with ACRP, which will provide more user-friendly access to GCP training to our member sites,” shared SCRS President Casey Orvin. “We look forward to a meaningful and impactful relationship with ACRP that will support SCRS in meeting the needs of our global member site community.”

SCRS member sites and their entire staff can access the complimentary GCP and ethics training programs via the SCRS website.
