Society for Clinical Research Sites Announces Additional Commitment from INC Research for Global Site Engagement Initiatives
Global CRO reinforces commitment to key stakeholder group as title sponsor for site appreciation events at U.S. and European Summits
Ellicott City, MD, Aug. 18, 2014 — The Society for Clinical Research Sites (SCRS), the trade organization representing over 1,500 global clinical research sites in 37 countries, today announced that INC Research, a leading, global Phase I to IV clinical research organization (CRO), will sponsor site appreciation events at the society’s annual Site Solutions Summit, taking place Oct. 10-12, 2014, on Amelia Island, Fla. and its inaugural European Summit to be held March 25-27, 2015, in Croatia. INC Research, an SCRS Global Impact Partner, has been actively engaged in supporting the efforts of the society, as well as site engagement overall, through a number of initiatives connecting sites, sponsors and CROs in an ongoing dialogue regarding how to work together more effectively to improve the clinical development process for the benefit of patients.
“We are excited to partner further with INC Research and appreciate its continued support in fostering strong relationships with clinical research sites globally,” stated Christine Pierre, President, SCRS. “Our Site Solutions Summit is an important forum for parties to engage and collaborate to create lasting partnerships that will provide a more effective and efficient drug development industry. The addition of the INC Research appreciation events to our U.S. and European programs will provide further opportunity to continue the ongoing dialogue with sites globally in support of this objective.”
SCRS’ Site Solutions Summit provides a unique platform for dialogue, development, and efficiency improvement across all organizations in the clinical research enterprise. More than 600 attendees representing nearly 100 sponsor/CRO organizations and sites will participate. General session topics will cover factors impacting sites, adaptive solutions around data and recruitment, technology innovation and operations benchmarks from the SCRS site survey. INC Research’s site appreciation event at the U.S. meeting will follow the ceremony recognizing the recipients of the annual SCRS Eagle Award, which honors one sponsor and one CRO that best exemplify great site relationships.
“INC Research values the important contributions our site partners make to the clinical research process,” said Jamie Macdonald, CEO, INC Research. “Our continued involvement with SCRS and participation in the Site Solutions Summit is invaluable in providing yet another forum for us to connect with this key stakeholder group. Engaging in an ongoing dialogue with our clinical research sites enables us to better understand their needs and collaborate more effectively in bringing new drug therapies to the market.”
