SCRS Announces Winning Sponsor and CRO of 2020 Eagle Award: Pfizer and Syneos Health
Hanover, MD October 12, 2020 – The Society for Clinical Research Sites (SCRS) announced to attendees at their 2020 virtual Global Site Solutions Summit that Pfizer is the winning sponsor, and Syneos Health is the winning CRO of the 2020 SCRS Eagle Award. This repeats the results from 2019 and is the fourth year that Syneos Health (formerly INC Research / inVentiv Health) has won the CRO award.
Sponsored by Trifecta Clinical, the SCRS Eagle Award has been awarded annually since 2009 to recognize the sponsor and CRO that are most dedicated to outstanding leadership, professionalism, integrity, operational excellence and a commitment to advancing the clinical research profession through strong site partnerships. SCRS members determine the nominees, and winners are voted on by SCRS member and non-member sites.
“Winning the Eagle Award in a year where we faced significant disruptions in response to the pandemic is an added testament to these companies dedication to creating systems and solutions that work for sites,” said SCRS COO Allyson Small. “The winners and finalists had already demonstrated their dedication to establishing strong site partnerships, and this is the year where our industry proved what our partnerships can accomplish. Congratulations to Pfizer for winning the Sponsor Eagle Award, and to Syneos Health for winning the CRO Eagle Award.”
In addition to Pfizer, this year’s sponsor finalists for the Eagle Award AbbVie, AstraZeneca, Lilly, Novo Nordisk, Regeneron, and Sanofi.
Joining Syneos Health, this year’s CRO Eagle Award finalists were Covance, ICON plc, IQVIA, Parexel, PPD and PRA Health Sciences.
