FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SCRS Announces Promotion of Jimmy Bechtel to Vice President of Site Engagement

Hanover, MD, January 21, 2021– The Society for Clinical Research Sites (SCRS) announced today that Director of Innovation and Engagement Jimmy Bechtel has been promoted to Vice President of Site Engagement.

Mr. Bechtel joined the SCRS team in 2018 and has served the organization in a variety of roles, including leadership of several of SCRS’s initiatives. His role has grown to include leading the SCRS membership department and marketing efforts in support of the SCRS member community.

“SCRS’s mission has been one that I have supported my entire career” said Jimmy Bechtel. “The work we do is critical – now more than ever – as we come out of a challenging year, and I find the position SCRS is in to support the growth and development of our site community so valuable. Being able to drive our programs forward in meaningful ways for the community of sites and patients that make bringing innovative medicines to the world is core to my focus. I am thrilled to be able to continue to support the site community and to see what 2021 will bring us.”

“Jimmy’s commitment to promoting sustainability and fostering growth of SCRS’s member sites has driven several of our initiatives to high levels of quality and impact since he joined SCRS in 2018,” said SCRS Chief Operations Officer Allyson Small. “His focus on collaboration between stakeholders and innovation at the site level has expanded SCRS’s presence in the global site community and enriched the resources we’ve been able to bring to member sites through the involvement of industry partners. He is an exceptional member of our team and I am confident that with his expanded role, SCRS’s membership will move towards an even brighter, increasingly prosperous future.”
