FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Ellicott City, M.D., July 15, 2015 – The Society for Clinical Research Sites (SCRS), the global trade organization fully dedicated to representing the interests and voice of clinical research sites, today announced that it is accepting applications for its “Site Tank” event, which allows sites to share innovative technology ideas that are designed to enhance, empower and improve their operations and transform their business models.
The event is modeled after the popular television program, “Shark Tank.” All sites are encouraged to share their ideas, which will be reviewed by an independent judging panel that will chose three finalists to present their innovations at SCRS’ 2015 Global Site Solutions Summit, which takes place October 8-11 in Amelia Island, FL. The judges will ask the finalists questions and the audience will vote on and determine the winner, which will be announced and celebrated during the Summit.
Medidata Solutions, which sponsors Site Tank, will consider conceptualizing the wining idea and ask a development team to confirm its feasibility. The idea may be adopted and implemented into a product for use by the clinical research industry.
Glen de Vries, President of Medidata Solutions, will act as the event’s moderator. The judges are Jae Chang, Founder and President, GoBalto; Jeff Kasher, President of Patients Can’t Wait, LLC; Jackie Kent, Senior Director of Clinical Development Information and Optimization & NGD Trial Execution at Eli Lilly and Company; and Hugo Stephenson, Executive Chairman, DrugDev.
