Aspen Insights Joins SCRS as New Global Impact Partner

March 8, 2022

Hanover, MD, March 8, 2022 – Today, the Society for Clinical Research Sites (SCRS) announced a Global Impact Partnership with Aspen Insights, a data science and machine learning company focused on bringing innovation to the clinical research space. Aspen offers practice integrated and DCT research sites a means to dramatically increase enrollment rates through the use of its artificial intelligence, patient-matching platform, Aspen Forge, as well as its suite of professional services. As a Global Impact Partner (GIP), Aspen Insights will align with clinical research industry sponsors, CROs, and service providers that share an ongoing commitment to improve the quality of patient recruitment, clinical research site performance, and ultimately, site sustainability.

Sean Soth, Senior Vice President of Strategy & Global Business Partnerships for SCRS, commented, “Data science applications and strategies will continue to inform innovation within clinical research.  Aspen Insights is working to solve some of clinical research’s most challenging recruitment obstacles through technology and consulting experience.  Aspen’s optimal goal is to bring innovative medical treatment to patients faster by streamlining the clinical research recruiting process, which supports the SCRS mission of creating sustainable sites. SCRS welcomes Aspen Insights to the GIP program and is eager to incorporate their feedback to develop more site-focused programming for efficient patient recruitment.”

“We want to get Aspen Forge into the hands of researchers. There is no longer a need for anyone to manually sift through their patient records to find quality candidates”, says Aspen Insights’ CEO, Walter Storm. “Our platform unifies data across various EMRs and therapeutic areas to identify a larger, more qualified pool of study candidates in a fraction of the time compared to traditional methods.  We are confident that our technology solutions can speed up the clinical research recruitment process to the point where innovative medical treatments can remain low in cost and financially accessible to a greater, more diverse community of patients in need.”
