FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Ellicott City, MD, August 23, 2017 — The Society for Clinical Research Sites (SCRS) today announced an expanded relationship with Acurian, Inc., the leading full-service provider of global patient enrollment and retention solutions and a subsidiary of Pharmaceutical Product Development, LLC (PPD). As a Site Engagement Partner, Acurian will continue to participate on the SCRS Global Impact Board, which works closely with SCRS’ Leadership Council to provide advice on strategic initiatives.
Acurian will also host a Site Advocacy Group (SAG) focused on oncology to gain access to the expertise and insights of SCRS members who have deep knowledge of challenges that can hinder enrollment and retention success. In addition, Acurian will serve as corporate sponsor for Hungary and Poland in the SCRS Ambassador program.
“Acurian’s increased commitment as a sponsor of the SCRS Ambassador program and SAG host demonstrates their recognition of the importance of site sustainability,” said Christine Pierre, President of SCRS. “We look forward to working together through this expanded partnership to cultivate global clinical trial success.”
“Acurian is excited to continue our partnership with SCRS and our commitment to global site sustainability,” said Todd Albin, Senior Director of Site Enrollment Optimization at Acurian. “Our involvement in these impactful initiatives provides Acurian with the valuable insights needed from key site stakeholders around the world. It is through these engagements that Acurian is able to understand how to best support the evolving site enrollment and patient engagement needs in today’s challenging site environment.”
