2025 SCRS Eagle Awards Presented to Merck and Medpace

October 13, 2025

October 13, 2025 – The Society for Clinical Research Sites (SCRS) proudly announces the 2025 recipients of the prestigious SCRS Eagle Award: Merck (known as MSD outside the United States and Canada) in the sponsor category and Medpace in the CRO category.

Now in its 16th year, the SCRS Eagle Award celebrates outstanding collaborations between clinical research sites and their sponsor and CRO partners. Proudly sponsored by Advarra, this distinguished recognition highlights organizations that demonstrate leadership, professionalism, integrity, passion, and commitment to enhancing clinical research through meaningful site partnerships.

Research sites globally participated in the annual SCRS Eagle Award survey to evaluate sponsor and CRO partners who consistently demonstrate excellence across multiple operational areas. This year’s comprehensive voting process engaged nearly 2,000 sites, who assessed over 16,300 active data points based on their experience working together over the past 12 months.

Through the survey, nominees were scored across key operational categories including business development, budgeting approach, contract language, payment process, communication, efficient start-up, support for research participants from all communities, and effective use of technology. The recipient sponsor and CRO were selected based on their overall performance rankings from this extensive community assessment.

Sites are the heartbeat of clinical research. Their dedication, resilience and unwavering focus on patients make progress possible. We remain committed to empowering sites to focus on what truly matters: the rights, safety and well-being of every participant. By prioritizing critical to quality factors and removing unnecessary complexity, we aim to make research more agile, inclusive and impactful. Together, we are not just running trials – we are delivering hope through collaboration, urgency and purpose to turn scientific discovery into life-changing medicines and vaccines for patients and caregivers around the world.”

We would like to express our gratitude to the sites who play an essential role in effective clinical development, helping us bring new and innovative therapies to patients in need.”

Sean Soth, SVP of Global Business Partnerships with SCRS added, “SCRS congratulates Merck and Medpace as the 2025 Eagle Award recipients, a recognition that comes directly from the global site community. Nearly 2,000 sites shared 16,300+ real-world data points about their experiences, and these organizations scored well across all categories within the SCRS Eagle Award survey. In an industry where collaboration is a critical success factor for patient outcomes, Merck and Medpace have proven that exceptional site partnerships aren’t just good business, they’re essential for advancing clinical research that changes lives. Congratulations to both organizations for outstanding efforts to elevate site collaboration.”
