FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
London, England, July 20, 2017 — Following an agreement between the Society for Clinical Research Sites (SCRS) and the National Institute for Health and Research Clinical Research Network (NIHR CRN), a first of its kind SCRS Ambassador Program symposium was held on June 27th in London, England. Professor Martin Gibson, clinical lead for business development for NIHR CRN, introduced the day-long event. INC Research, a long-time partner and supporter of SCRS programs and in particular the SCRS Ambassador program, has provided SCRS membership scholarships for NIHR CRN’s 4,900 sites.
“SCRS has become a global entity, meeting the specific needs of researchers around the world,” said Christine Pierre, president of SCRS. Upcoming symposiums within the next few weeks include programs in Poland and Taiwan. INC Research will also sponsor the Poland and Taiwan meeting. Eli Lilly & Co. has also joined the collaboration with SCRS and INC Research in regard to the upcoming Taiwan meeting.
“The symposium was just the beginning of a journey aimed at a building site sustainability around the world,” said Clare Grace, vice president of site and patient access for INC Research. “INC Research is a sponsor of SCRS Ambassador Program activities in several regions across the world. We believe strongly in efforts aimed at providing opportunities to strengthen relationships with industry partners and build site growth, which is critical to our industry as a whole.”
SCRS continues to develop the reach of the organization through events such as this and many other global initiatives, boasting almost 9,000 members in over 45 countries. The organization’s Global Site Solutions Summit will occur in Boca Raton, FL in October.
