2025 - VOL. 6

From the SCRS Team

This issue is all about connection and how listening, partnering, and working together create better outcomes for everyone in clinical research. Inside: spotlight on our Global Award recipients, how turning site voices into actionable innovation through deep listening and co-creation, why shared milestone trackers are breaking down silos between sponsors, CROs, and sites during study startup, and what happens when technology is built with sites, not just for them.

Looking ahead to 2026, we’re continuing to roll out programs designed to support sites with the challenges that matter most: our AI webinar series explores emerging technology in clinical research, Hidden Costs Workshops expand to new regions throughout the year, and the Site Realities workshop helps sponsors and CROs understand day-to-day site operational challenges. We’re also launching new workstreams and resources for the Payment Initiative, including guidance on record retention and site payment frequencies. Plus, we’re partnering with ACRP on A Pragmatic Guide for Migrating Investigator Sites to ICH E6(R3). Join the free webinar hosted by ACRP on January 14 to hear from site leaders as they share real-world challenges and lessons learned during their transition from R2 to R3.

Up Next: March 2-3 in Amsterdam, join us at the European Site Solutions Summit — the ultimate meeting place for clinical research professionals dedicated to site sustainability. Build meaningful connections, exchange industry knowledge, and gain trending insights and strategies to drive your success in clinical research.

Turning Site voices into action

“It’s incredibly frustrating […] we want technology that actually improves their job”. This was shared in a recent Site Listening Session, but it’s a sentiment I’m sure many can relate to. When tools that are intended to support and accelerate are delivered without their users in mind, it’s a recipe for failure. For sites, every redundant training, missed integration opportunity, and feature that doesn’t quite work as it should, ticks away at the time that could be better spent with patients.
