FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Society for Clinical Research Sites’ Good Clinical Practice Training Recognized by TransCelerate
Ellicott City, MD – September 22, 2014: The Society for Clinical Research Sites (SCRS) has announced that its Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training, provided to all SCRS member employees, is now officially recognized by TransCelerate BioPharma Inc.’s members. Among TransCelerate’s numerous members are SCRS Global Impact Partner companies AstraZeneca, Lilly, GlaxoSmithKline, Pfizer, Roche, and Sanofi.
This landmark development is the result of considerable effort on behalf of the SCRS Education Community. The community acted on this initiative to eliminate misuse of valuable time and expenditure of significant cost due to redundant GCP training. SCRS members who take advantage of SCRS’ GCP training will no longer be subject to the duplication of effort and documentation when working with the TransCelerate member companies.
“This is a significant milestone for SCRS members,” states Christine Pierre, SCRS President. “Repetitive GCP training is massively inefficient for all involved at the site-level. As the representative body for sites, SCRS is attuned to the sites’ need to streamline and standardize training. SCRS is proud to offer its member employees GCP training recognized by TransCelerate, and applauds TransCelerate’s commitment to working towards decreasing the burden to the site.”
