Ambassador Program Asia Regional Lead

Li-Yuan Bai, M.D., M.M.S., Ph.D.
Prof. Bai graduated from the National Yang-Ming University School of Medicine in 1987 and completed the PhD program at China Medical University in 2011.
Since 2005, Dr. Bai has been a visiting staff member in the Division of Hematology and Oncology at China Medical University Hospital in Taiwan. He currently serves as the Director of the Department of Internal Medicine and the Clinical Trial Center.
Dr. Bai’s areas of expertise include cancers of the gastrointestinal tract, pancreas, and biliary system, along with gastrointestinal stromal tumors and neuroendocrine tumors. He has participated in numerous global clinical trials in these fields and is the leading principal investigator in three investigator-initiated clinical trials. Additionally, he is actively involved in first-in-human and early-phase clinical trials, having engaged in 44 first-in-human or Phase I trials from 2014 to 2026.
Till now, Prof. Bai has published more than 160 peer-reviewed articles, including The Lancet, The New England Journal of Medicine, Nature Medicine, The Lancet Oncology, J Clin Oncology, Annals of Oncology, Research Communication, Cancer Research, Clinical Cancer Research, Hepatology, Biochemical Pharmacology, Gastric Cancer, and Cancer Cell Int, et al.
