About the SCRS Ambassador Program
The SCRS Ambassador Program is designed to cultivate a network of influential research industry professionals who will serve as SCRS ambassadors, bridging the gap between clinical research sites within their respective regions.
The Ambassador Program supports the global site community and other industry stakeholders by providing active and ongoing dialogue and content exchange. By attending Ambassador Symposiums, regional site attendees will have access to all SCRS member benefits for their entire organization.
Ambassador Program Africa Regional Lead
Major (Gama) Cindi
Major (Gama) Cindi is the Co-founder and Executive Director of CRISMO, a clinical research site management company based in Germiston, South Africa. Over the past 17 years, he has worked in the clinical research industry serving different roles before joining the clinical trial site management field, where he developed and implemented operational strategies for conducting multicenter clinical trials across various therapeutic areas. He also participated in a national roll-out of COVID-19 vaccination program assigned to health facilities in the Fezile Dabi district, north of Free State Province. Cindi has an Executive Development Programme from the University of Free State, an advanced diploma in Health Management and Administration, and a postgraduate certificates in Education, Project Management, and Entrepreneurship from various institutions. As a member of the South African Clinical Research Association (SACRA) since 2012, he frequently participates in local industry initiatives, workshops, and general contributions to industry guidelines.

Queen Adaugo Ohandjo
Queen Adaugo Ohandjo is a scientific professional and clinical researcher, with a background in machine learning and data science tailored to addressing health disparities within research. Queen Adaugo successfully implemented cultural enhancements in institutions she attended, established a machine learning pathway during their TL1 Predoctoral Training at Morehouse School of Medicine and held roles with AstraZeneca, Pfizer, PPD, IQVIA, and Labcorp. She focused on community-based participatory research, contributing to more diverse clinical trials and achieving regulatory approvals within projected timelines. With a rich academic and professional background, she has received grants, awards, and leadership honors, showcasing a commitment to advancing healthcare inclusivity. Holding affiliations with organizations like AACR, ASCO, AHA, NIHT, CITI and ACRP; her leadership extends to founding initiatives like Care Hub Initiative Inc and co-founding Proof Clinical Research.
*Qualified site attendees will receive a one-year digital SCRS membership scholarship for your location. To qualify, you must be currently working at a site located within the named SCRS Ambassador region. (Sites located or headquartered in any other geography are not eligible). SCRS membership benefits will be available to all registered staff at your physical location. SCRS membership benefits are not transferable from originating SCRS Ambassador scholarship award.
