FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Ellicott City, M.D., June 2, 2015 – The Society for Clinical Research Sites (SCRS), the global trade organization fully dedicated to representing the interests of clinical research sites, has announced an invigorated, solution-driven program for the 10th Annual Global Site Solutions Summit. The Summit will be October 8-11, 2015 in Amelia Island, FL. The annual meeting, which attracts Investigators, site executives, and industry executives from around the globe, is inclusive of interactive sessions, knowledge and best practice sharing, and networking opportunities, centered around the collaboration-focused theme “Better Together.”
Keynote speakers for this year’s meeting include Richard Moscicki, M.D., Deputy Center Director for Science Operations, FDA, Jamie Macdonald, CEO of INC Research, Dalvir Gill, Ph.D., CEO of TransCelerate BioPharma Inc., and Kenneth Getz, MBA, Director of Sponsored Projects at Tufts. SCRS President Christine Pierre will highlight the realities sites face in the annual Site Landscape presentation; the culmination of current metrics collected from sites by SCRS and anonymized data from proprietary Big Data sets. The 2015 program is inclusive of over 50 breakout sessions paneled by industry leaders, exploring a range of topics focused on site operations for excellence and efficiencies.
2015 marks the inaugural year of two interactive Summit features: Site Partnership Symposiums and Site Tank. Site Partnership Symposiums are pre and post-meeting sessions available exclusively to site attendees. The Symposium is a platform for leading sponsor/CRO organizations to focus on insight into study pipeline opportunities. Site Tank, sponsored by Medidata Solutions and moderated by Medidata President Glen de Vries, is modeled after the popular show “Shark Tank.” SCRS will be opening the opportunity for sites to submit ideas to drive innovation and advances through technology. Finalists will be invited to present their idea to the Summit audience, and the audience will choose the winner. Medidata has committed to transforming the winning idea into an actionable event, which will streamline activities at sites.
“2015 is a landmark year for the Site Solutions Summit,” comments Christine Pierre, SCRS President. “It is the tenth anniversary of the meeting, and marks the advent of several new program features. The Summit is an opportunity for sites to share the challenges they face to a rapt audience of colleagues, sponsors and CROs. The overwhelmingly positive feedback SCRS receives after each Summit, along with the real change instituted throughout the year based on important dialogue at the Summit, consistently proves that as an industry we truly are ‘Better Together.’”
Registration for the 2015 Global Site Solutions Summit is open.
